Be aware that removing the front-facing camera requires multiple tools, including a guitar pick, heat gun, tweezers, screwdriver, and plastic opening tools.
Remove the SIM card with your fingers.
Insert a fingernail or plastic opening tool into the recess at the bottom right corner of the battery.
Remove the battery, SIM card, and MicroSD card before proceeding to avoid damage.
Follow heat gun safety procedures as indicated in its manual to prevent harm to yourself or the device.
Insert a guitar pick between the display and phone case, starting at the upper left corner.
Prying at the display may damage the thin metallic strip connecting the display to the motherboard.
Slide a pick through the phone's casing, using it to gently pry the display's sides and lower portion.
Stop immediately if resistance is met; apply additional heat before continuing to pry.
Lift the screen with the guitar pick.
Do not remove the upper end of display assembly yet.
When reusing home button flex cable, handle with care to avoid severing the cable from the home button.
Adhesive can cause damage, potentially ripping the cable away from the home button.
Dislodge the front panel assembly cable by carefully prying it upwards with a guitar pick's sharp tip.
Remove the Phillips #0 screws using a Phillips 0 screwdriver.
Locate the battery compartment on the back of your phone.
Proceed to work with the piece containing the motherboard.
Disconnect the front-facing camera using your finger or a plastic opening tool.
Remove the front camera by carefully pulling it out with tweezers.
