Insert the plastic opening tool, or your fingertip, into the small indentation to the left of the rear-facing camera.

Hold the rear case by the lower right corner and gently lift upwards to release.

• Continue lifting until the case separates from the phone.

• Press the microSD card into its slot with a spudger or your fingernail.
• Hear the click; then release and the card will pop out.
• Remove the microSD card from the device.
• To assemble, push the microSD card into its slot until it clicks securely in place.

Use a plastic opening tool or your finger to pry up the battery in its compartment.

• Lift the battery upwards from its compartment.
• Remove the battery completely from your phone.

Press the SIM card slightly deeper with a plastic opening tool or your fingernail.

• Hear a click to confirm insertion.

• Release the card; it may pop out.

• Remove the SIM card.

During reassembly, ensure secure click when inserting the SIM card into its slot.

Remove Nine 4.0 mm Phillips #00 screws.

• The screws secure the midframe to the display assembly.

Be cautious when prying the clips - thin areas of the midframe can crack with excessive force.

• Insert a plastic opening tool between the chrome bezel and display glass, locating the seam on the volume button side.
• Slide the tool along the seam, carefully separating the plastic clips as you go.

Slide the opening tool along the seam where the midframe meets the display, working from the bottom up.

• Pry around the corner of the phone to release additional plastic clips.

Slide the opening tool along the seam on the power button side.

Pry carefully as the edges can be fragile.

Slide the opening tool around the top of the phone to release any remaining clips.

• Verify clip release by running the tool along the entire perimeter of the device.

Disconnect the midframe connectors.

• Carefully pry the midframe away from the display assembly.

• Hold the midframe with one hand and the speaker enclosure with the other.
• Gently twist the speaker enclosure away from the midframe to release it from the clips.
• Remove the speaker enclosure from the midframe.
