Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Speaker Replacement

Trouble with sound playback may indicate a faulty rear loudspeaker.

  • Replace the rear loudspeaker if necessary.

Step 1 | Battery

Hold the END key to initiate shutdown.

Use a plastic opening tool to remove the back cover of the cell phone.

Use a plastic opening tool to pry out the battery.

Step 4 | Sim Card and Memory Card

  • Use a tweezer or your fingers to remove the Sim Card.
  • Similarly, use a tweezer or your fingers to extract the Memory Card.

Step 5 | Grey Cover

Remove the 10 Phillips-head screws using a small Phillips screwdriver.

Step 6 | Gray cover

Use a plastic opening tool to pry the plastic gray cover off the phone.

Be careful not to damage the plate or screen when removing the cover.

Step 7 | Loud Speaker

Apply gentle pressure to the gray cover to release the loudspeaker from its mounting plate.

Step 8 | New Loud Speaker

Install the replacement loudspeaker.

  • Locate and position the new loudspeaker over the original mounting points.
  • Secure it in place using screws provided with the replacement unit.
