Samsung Galaxy S4 Active Front Facing Camera Replacement

Use a plastic opening tool or your fingernail to pry in the divot to the left of the rear-facing camera.

• Lift the rear case by the corner nearest the divot.
• Remove it from the phone completely.

Insert a plastic opening tool into the notch of the battery compartment.

• Lift the battery upward to remove it.

• Press the microSD card gently with a plastic opening tool or your finger until you hear a click.
• Release the card, allowing it to eject from its slot.
• Remove the microSD card from the device.

• Press the SIM card further into its slot using a plastic opening tool or your fingernail.
• Hold until you hear a click, then release the card.
• The SIM card should pop out of its slot. Remove it immediately.

Insert the tip of a spudger into the corner and gently pry out each metallic pad.

• Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the 12 screws connecting the midframe to the device.

Use the plastic opening tool to pry around the entire edge of the midframe, releasing it from the front case.

Remove the black cover using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

• The cover is secured by one 0.3mm screw

Remove the black camera backing using a pair of precision tweezers.

• Disconnect the blue press-fit connector with a spudger using gentle force.
• Lift the front-facing camera from the device.
