Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra Battery Replacement

A swollen battery poses a risk of explosion; handle with care.

  • Your Galaxy S25 Ultra's lithium-ion battery has a limited lifespan, so replace it if your phone exhibits rapid discharge, won't hold charge, shuts off randomly despite remaining power, or only functions while plugged in.
  • Before starting, ensure you have the replacement back cover adhesive required for this repair.

Step 1 | Safety precautions

Cracked back glass can cause injury or complicate disassembly.

  • Apply packing tape strips to cover the cracked glass completely, ensuring it's contained and allowing the suction cup to stick.
  • Place a single strip of tape across the bottom edge, large enough for a suction cup to fit, without overlapping or sticking to the frame.

Wear safety glasses to protect your eyes from potential glass shards during the repair.

Step 3 | Heat the back cover

Step 3 image

Follow the linked instructions carefully when using a heat gun.

  • Heat an iOpener for two minutes or use a hair dryer/heat gun to soften the adhesive.
  • Lay the heated iOpener/hair dryer on the bottom edge of the back cover.

Improper heat gun use can damage display and/or battery.
