If hearing static, crackling, or no sound on calls, consider replacing the earpiece speaker.

  • This guide will assist in replacing the earpiece speaker in your Samsung Galaxy S25+.

Allow your Galaxy's battery to drain below 25% before starting this repair — a charged lithium-ion battery may catch fire if damaged.

  • Unplug all cables from your phone.
  • Completely power off the device by holding down the side key and volume down button, then selecting Power off.

Step 2 | Cracked glass preparation

Step 2 image

Cracked glass can cause injury or complicate disassembly.

  • Apply packing tape strips over cracked glass, ensuring complete coverage.
  • A single non-overlapping strip of tape should be placed across the bottom edge, big enough for a suction cup to fit.

Only apply tape to the glass itself, avoiding the frame. Wear safety glasses to protect your eyes from flying debris during repair.

Step 3 | Heat the back cover

Step 3 image

Improper use of a heat gun can damage the display and/or battery.

  • Apply an iOpener to the bottom edge of the back cover for two minutes, or use a hair dryer/heat gun to heat it.
  • If using a heat gun, follow safe usage guidelines.
  • The adhesive will soften after heating; proceed with separating the back cover from the frame.

Step 4 | Adhesive information

Apply firm upward pressure on the suction handle until a gap appears between the back cover and frame.

  • Use one hand to hold the phone steady, or use your other hand to grasp the frame with care – be aware that the phone may be warm.
  • Carefully insert the tip of an opening pick into the newly created gap.

Use a suction handle to lift and remove the back cover.

If still stuck, go around the perimeter with an opening pick and separate any remaining adhesive.

  • Power on your phone and test all functions before sealing it up.
  • Make sure to power down your phone completely before continuing work.

  • Check the rear cameras for smudges, wiping them gently with a clean, lint-free cloth if necessary.

Apply replacement back cover adhesive to either the frame or the back cover.

  • Use cutouts and contours to see where it lines up best.
  • If matching the back cover, follow this guide.
  • If matching the frame, use that guide instead.
