Samsung Galaxy S25 FE USB-C Board Replacement

Note: Cleaning the port first may resolve issues before proceeding with this repair.

  • Check if replacement back cover adhesive is required for completion of this repair.
  • If not, proceed with replacing the USB-C board (daughterboard or sub-board).

Important: The entire USB-C board must be replaced when repairing either the USB-C port or SIM reader due to soldered connections.

  • Unplug all cables from your phone.
  • Power off your phone by holding the side key and volume down button.

Step 2 | Cracked glass preparation

Broken back glass can cause injury or complicate disassembly.

  • Apply non-overlapping strips of packing tape over cracked glass, covering it completely.
  • A single strip should be across the bottom edge, large enough for a suction cup to fit.
  • Only apply tape to the glass, not the frame.

Consider wearing safety glasses during this repair to protect your eyes from loose glass fragments.

Step 3 | Heat the back cover

Step 3 image

Improper use of a heat gun can destroy the display and/or battery — follow the linked instructions carefully.

  • Secure an iOpener to the bottom edge of the back cover for two minutes, or
  • use a hair dryer or heat gun (carefully following linked instructions).

Before sealing: power on your phone and test all functions, then shut down completely.

  • Inspect rear cameras for smudges; gently wipe with a clean, lint-free cloth if needed.
  • Back cover adhesive should be applied to either the or the back cover. Use cutouts and contours to determine alignment.
