Samsung Galaxy S25 FE Battery Replacement

Note that your Samsung Galaxy S25 FE's lithium-ion battery has a limited lifespan and may require replacement if it dies quickly, doesn't hold charge, randomly shuts off with remaining power, or only works when plugged in. If the battery is swollen, take necessary precautions.

  • Identify a dead or worn-out battery as the cause of your phone's issues.
  • You'll need replacement back cover adhesive to complete this repair.

Step 1 | Safety precautions

Do not start repair with a fully charged battery - risk of explosion.

  • Disconnect all external cables from your Galaxy device.
  • Hold the side key and volume down button to power off your phone completely.

Step 2 | Cracked glass preparation

Glass shards can cause injury; cracked back glass must be addressed before disassembly.

  • Apply non-overlapping strips of packing tape over the cracked glass, covering it completely.
  • Ensure a single strip of tape spans the bottom edge, allowing a suction cup to fit.
  • Avoid applying tape to the phone's frame; only cover the glass itself.
  • Consider wearing safety glasses during this repair to protect against flying glass debris.

Step 3 | Heat the back cover

Step 3 image

Follow the heat gun safety guidelines carefully to avoid damage.

  • Note: The adhesive can be softened using an iOpener, hair dryer, or heat gun.
  • Lay a heated iOpener on the bottom edge of the back cover for two minutes.
  • Alternatively, use a hair dryer or heat gun to warm the cover.

  • Hold the phone down with your lifting hand or steady the frame with your free hand.
  • Insert the tip of an opening pick into the gap.

Use a suction handle to lift and remove the back cover.

If the cover feels stuck, go around the perimeter with an opening pick and separate any remaining adhesive.

  • Power on your phone and test all functions before reassembly.
  • Power down your phone completely before continuing.

Check rear cameras for smudges, wiping them gently with a clean, lint-free cloth if necessary.

  • Apply replacement adhesive to either the frame or the back cover.
  • Use cutouts and contours to align it correctly. If applying to the back cover, follow this guide; if to the frame, use that guide.
