Apply heat to the back cover using an iOpener, or alternative heat sources such as a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate.

Mild adhesive secures the back cover; heating it will soften the adhesive, making separation easier.

  • Lay the heated iOpener on the bottom edge of the back cover for two minutes to soften the adhesive.
  • Alternatively, use a heat source such as a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate.
