Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Earpiece Speaker Replacement

Replace the earpiece speaker if you experience static, crackling, or no sound during phone calls.

  • Earpiece speaker replacement requires a new set of back cover adhesive.

Step 1 | Prepare your phone for disassembly

Allow the battery to discharge below 25% charge to prevent a potential hazard.

  • Power off the phone.
  • Disconnect all cables and unplug any connections.

Step 2 | Heat the bottom edge

Avoid overheating which may damage components.

  • Apply heat to the iOpener and place it on the bottom edge of the back cover for two minutes.
  • Alternately, use a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate to soften the adhesive.

Step 3 | Apply a suction handle

Position the suction handle near the center of the back cover's bottom edge, as close to the edge as possible.

Step 4 | Insert an opening pick

Grasp the suction handle firmly and pull upwards with steady pressure.

  • A gap should form between the cover and frame.
  • Insert the tip of an opening pick into the formed gap.

Step 5 | Adhesive information

Locate the adhesive securing the back cover around the perimeter of the frame and refer to the provided picture for guidance.

  • Separate the left edge adhesive, taking care not to insert your pick more than 3 mm to avoid damaging the wireless charging coil and interconnect cable.
  • Repeat the process on the right edge.

Step 6 | Separate the adhesive

Apply additional heat if necessary.

  • Hold the opening pick against the bottom edge of the device.
  • Gently slide the tool to release the adhesive securing the back cover.

Slide your pick carefully along the back cover's perimeter, working to release any remaining adhesive.

  • Avoid inserting the pick too deeply at the long edges on the left and right sides.

Step 8 | Remove the back cover

Remove the back cover.

  • If having trouble, check perimeter for remaining adhesive and use an opening pick to separate.
  • During reassembly:
    • Power on phone, test all functions before sealing up — risk of incorrect assembly.

    • Power down phone completely before continuing work.

Inspect rear cameras for smudges and wipe with a clean lint-free cloth if necessary.

  • Apply replacement back cover adhesive to either the frame or the back cover.
  • Use cutouts and contours to determine best alignment — incorrect placement may damage components.

Step 9 | Disconnect the wireless charging assembly

Insert the pointed end of a spudger or an opening pick between the wireless charging assembly press connector and its top edge.

  • Pry gently upwards to disconnect the connector from its socket.
  • If needed, use the tip of an opening pick for better leverage.

Step 10 | Remove the wireless charging and loudspeaker assembly screws

Label each removed screw for reassembly purposes.

  • Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the eleven 2.8 mm-long screws.
  • The screws secure the wireless charging and loudspeaker assembly.

Step 11 | Pry up the loudspeaker

Disconnect the wireless charging coil from the loudspeaker using gentle care.

  • Remove the wireless charging coil and loudspeaker as one unit to prevent damage.
  • Use angled tweezers to pry up and unclip the loudspeaker at its left edge notch.

Firmly press down around the loudspeaker's perimeter during reassembly to engage its clips.

Step 12 | Remove the wireless charging assembly

Hold the wireless charging and loudspeaker assembly firmly with both hands.

  • Lift the assembly upwards while maintaining your grip.
  • Gently rock it back and forth to dislodge any connectors.
  • Once free, carefully pull the assembly away from its mounting points.

Step 13 | Disconnect the battery

Pry at the designated gold arrow marked on the board to avoid damaging surface-mounted components.

  • Locate the gold arrow corresponding to the press connector.
  • Use a spudger to pry up and disconnect the battery press connector.

Step 14 | Disconnect the earpiece speaker

Insert the pointed end of the spudger under the earpiece speaker press connector.

Gently pry upwards while ensuring not to damage the surrounding components.

Step 15 | Remove the earpiece speaker screws

Remove the earpiece speaker using a Phillips screwdriver.

  • There are five screws to remove, each measuring 2.8 mm in length.

Step 16 | Pry up the earpiece speaker

Insert the flat end of a spudger under the earpiece speaker's lower edge and gently pry it loose.

  • For reassembly, press down firmly around the earpiece speaker's perimeter to secure its clips in place.

Step 17 | Remove the earpiece speaker

Remove the earpiece speaker.
