Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Back Cover Replacement

Replace the back cover of your Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge with a new one, if it's damaged or cracked.

  • You will need a new back cover adhesive for this repair.

Step 1 | Prepare your phone for disassembly

Allow the phone's battery to drain below 25% to avoid risk of explosion due to accidental damage.

  • Turn off the phone by pressing the power button.
  • Disconnect all cables and accessories from the phone.

Step 2 | Heat the bottom edge

Use an iOpener to heat the back cover by laying it at the bottom edge for 2 minutes.

If using alternative heat sources (hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate), ensure they do not damage the surrounding components.

Heating will soften the mild adhesive, making it easier to separate the back cover.

Step 3 | Apply a suction handle

Position the suction handle on the back cover's lower edge, as close to the edge as feasible.

Step 4 | Insert an opening pick

Apply firm, consistent pressure to the suction handle until a crack appears.

  • Pierce the gap with the pointed end of a precision pick.

Step 5 | Adhesive information

Use the provided picture as a reference for removing the back cover.

  • Separate the adhesive from the perimeter of the frame using caution.
  • When separating the left or right edge adhesive, do not insert your pick more than 3 mm to avoid damaging the wireless charging coil and interconnect cable.

Step 6 | Separate the adhesive

  • Apply more heat if struggling with adhesive separation.
  • Precision Opening Pick, insert it at the bottom edge, and gently slide to loosen the adhesive holding the back cover in place.

Slide the pick along the entire edge of the back cover to loosen the remaining adhesive.

  • Be cautious near the long edges, avoiding insertion beyond the edge itself.

Step 8 | Remove the back cover

  • Remove the back cover.
  • If stuck, check the perimeter for remaining adhesive and use a pick to separate.

Power on phone during reassembly, test all functions before sealing. Power down completely before continuing.

  • Inspect rear cameras for smudges, wipe clean with lint-free cloth if necessary.
  • Determine if replacement adhesive is applied to the frame or back cover.
  • Use cutouts and contours to align best match. Follow correct guide based on chosen alignment.
