Samsung Galaxy S24 Rear Cameras Replacement

Reapplying back cover adhesive improperly may compromise water resistance and void the IP rating.

  • Replace the rear cameras in a Samsung Galaxy S24 using this guide.

The device will lose its IP (Ingress Protection) rating after the repair, regardless of adhesive application quality.

Do not start the repair with a fully charged lithium-ion battery, as it may ignite.

  • Allow the phone's battery to drain below 25% or completely discharge it before proceeding.
  • Power off the phone and unplug all cables to prevent any accidental power-ons.

Step 2 | Heat the right edge

Step 2 image

Do not overheat the device - risk of thermal damage to the battery.

  • Apply an iOpener to the right edge of the back cover for two minutes.
  • Alternatively, use a hair dryer or heat gun on the same area until it feels hot.

Step 3 | Insert an opening pick
