This guide is for replacing the Samsung Galaxy S24+ screen only. If your replacement part includes pre-installed glass on a frame, use a different guide. The included screen assembly consists of front glass and display panel.
A fully charged lithium-ion battery may be a safety hazard — drain it below 25%.
Apply a iOpener to the right edge of the back cover for 2 minutes.
If a gap is hard to achieve, apply more heat as needed, but be cautious not to overheat — follow iOpener instructions.
Slide a pick back and forth along the right edge to separate the adhesive.
Leave the pick inserted near the bottom right corner to prevent the adhesive from re-sealing.
Apply a heated iOpener to the bottom edge of the back cover for 2 minutes.
Insert the opening pick into the bottom right corner and rotate it slowly.
Be careful not to apply too much pressure, which may damage the screen.
Insert a second pick at the bottom right corner.
Apply iOpener to the left edge of the back cover for 2 minutes.
Hold the opening pick at the bottom left corner and rotate it gently.
Be careful not to apply excessive pressure, which can damage the surrounding components.
Insert a third opening pick at the bottom left corner.
Apply iOpener to top edge of back cover, heating for 2 minutes.
Insert the opening pick into the top left corner and gently rotate it.
Do not remove the pick from its position near the top right corner, as this may cause the adhesive to reseal.
Remove the back cover.
If not lifting easily, use an opening pick to separate any resealed adhesive.
Remove all adhesive from back cover and phone using tweezers or fingers.
If trouble persists, use heat, isopropyl alcohol (90%+), and a coffee filter or lint-free cloth.
If using custom-cut adhesives, follow this guide.
Use a spudger to carefully pry up the wireless charging coil press connector from the motherboard.
Do not force the connector into place.
If trouble persists, reposition the connector and try again.
Remove six Phillips screws that secure the wireless charging coil.
Insert the spudger into the notch at the top left corner of the loudspeaker.
Use your fingers to gently lift the loudspeaker away from the frame.
When reassembling, press around the edges of the loudspeaker to ensure it clips securely to the frame before replacing the screws.
Use a spudger to carefully pry up the display cable press connector, located at the bottom edge of the phone.
Disconnect the display cable press connector using a spudger.
Place the back cover onto the frame to protect the battery and internal components.
Do not apply new adhesive at this step, as it will need to be removed later; the existing adhesive will suffice.
Never overheat the phone, as the battery is prone to heat damage.
Apply overlapping strips of packing tape to cover the cracked screen.
When handling sharp metal tools like the iFlex, avoid gripping them by the edges with bare hands.
Consider wearing gloves and safety glasses to protect yourself from glass shards when removing the front glass.
Be cautious of sharp metal edges on tools that could cause injury if mishandled.
Insert the iFlex or similar tool into the notch just enough for a small gap between glass and display.
Avoid inserting too far to prevent damaging the front-facing camera.
The front glass may peel away from the display, causing discoloration; this is normal for disassembly.
Rotate the iFlex around one top corner of the front glass until a suitable gap is formed.
Apply an opening pick along the edges of the front glass to loosen the adhesive.
Remove the front glass from its frame.
Insert an opening pick under the display panel.
Start by sliding an opening pick along the edges of the display panel, working to loosen its adhesive bond with the frame.
Be careful not to damage any components attached to the back edge of the display panel.
