Replace the front camera on your Samsung Galaxy S24+ using this guide.
Charged lithium-ion batteries can be a safety hazard.
Disconnect all cables from the phone.
Apply heat to the right edge of the back cover using an iOpener for 2 minutes.
Be careful not to apply excessive heat, as this can cause permanent damage.
Apply a suction handle to the back cover near the center of the right edge.
Insert a pick into the bottom right corner, sliding it back and forth along the right edge to break down the adhesive.
Apply iOpener to the bottom edge of the back cover and heat for 2 minutes.
Hold the opening pick steady and rotate it towards the bottom right corner of the device.
Insert a second pick at the bottom right corner.
Heating the adhesive can cause it to break down, potentially making removal more difficult.
Start by rotating the opening pick at the bottom left corner to loosen the adhesive.
Insert a third opening pick at the bottom left corner.
Heat an iOpener and apply it to the top edge of the back cover for 2 minutes.
Insert an opening pick at the top left corner and rotate it gently.
Be cautious not to apply excessive force, which may damage the device.
Insert a fourth opening pick at the top left corner.
Locate the square of adhesive above the flash.
Remove the back cover.
Power on your phone and test all functions during reassembly, but be sure to power it down completely before continuing.
Note: Reapplying the back cover adhesive affects water resistance and your device's IP rating.
Use a spudger to pry up the wireless charging coil press connector from the motherboard.
Do not force the connector into place.
If necessary, reposition it and try again.
Locate the notch at the top left corner of the loudspeaker, marked with an arrow.
Remove the battery press connector with a spudger.
Insert a spudger under the earpiece speaker press connector and gently pry it up.
Make sure not to damage the surrounding components during this process.
Remove the earpiece speaker using a Phillips screwdriver.
Insert the flat end of a spudger between the bottom edge of the earpiece speaker and the metal plate on the motherboard.
Disconnect the front camera press connector with a spudger.
Apply heat from a hair dryer or heat gun to the front camera for several minutes, until it becomes hot to the touch.
Adhesive securing the camera is very strong; apply more heat if the camera feels stuck.
Use a spudger to pry the front camera out of its recess.
