This guide is for replacing a damaged NFC antenna and charging coil assembly on the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra (SM-G998B/DS). Note that other models may have an additional antenna cable in the midframe edge.
Reassembling without new adhesive seals will not affect device functionality, but it will compromise water protection.
You'll need replacement adhesive to secure components during reassembly.
Do not attempt to repair your phone while it is still powered on.
When using a heat source, be cautious not to overheat the phone, as the display and internal battery can be damaged by excessive heat.
Secure a suction handle to the bottom edge of the back cover, as close to the edge as possible.
Apply more heat if you have trouble creating a gap, following iOpener instructions to avoid overheating.
Insert a second opening pick near the bottom edge of your phone.
Be cautious not to touch the iOpener as it may cause burns.
When slicing near the camera assembly, insert only the tip of the opening pick (~4-5 mm) to avoid damage or smearing.
Avoid damaging the power and volume button flex cable.
Remove the back cover.
Power on your phone and test all functions before reassembly to ensure correct operation.
Power down your phone completely before proceeding with further repairs.

Insert the opening pick under the left bottom end of the NFC antenna and charging coil assembly.

Disconnect the charging coil by gently prying the connector straight up with a spudger.
Disconnect the NFC antenna by gently prying the connector upwards using a spudger.
Remove the NFC antenna and charging coil assembly using a Phillips screwdriver.
Remove the NFC antenna and charging coil assembly using a pair of tweezers or your fingers.
