Replacing adhesive seals is essential for maintaining water protection.
Replacement adhesive will be required when reassembling the device.
Unplug and power off your phone.
Secure a suction handle to the back cover's lower edge, as close to the edge as possible.
Be cautious of overheating when using heat; follow iOpener instructions carefully.
Lift the back cover with the suction handle to create a small gap between it and the frame.
Leave the opening pick in place to prevent the adhesive from resealing.
Insert a second opening pick at the bottom edge.
Reapply iOpener for 2-3 minutes if adhesive is hard to cut.
For slicing near the camera assembly, use only the tip of the opening pick (~ 4-5 mm) to avoid damage or smearing.
Insert the opening pick into the top left corner.
When near the power button, insert only the tip of the pick (3-4 mm) to avoid damaging the flex cable.
Remove the back cover.
Power on your phone and test all functions during reassembly to ensure everything is working correctly.
Remove any adhesive chunks using a pair of tweezers or your fingers.
If you're using custom-cut adhesives, follow the designated guide for application and placement.
For double-sided tape, consult the provided instructions for correct use.
Locate the NFC antenna and charging coil assembly at the left bottom end.
Insert the opening pick at the bottom end of the NFC antenna and charging coil assembly.
Disconnect the charging coil by gently lifting the connector with a spudger, prying it directly upwards from its socket.
Disconnect the NFC antenna by prying the connector straight up from its socket using a spudger.
Remove the NFC antenna and charging coil assembly using a Phillips screwdriver.
Remove the NFC antenna and charging coil assembly using a pair of tweezers or your fingers.
Disconnect the battery cable using a spudger. Pry the connector straight up from its socket.
Remove the screws holding the loudspeaker assembly using a Phillips screwdriver.
Insert a spudger into the gap between the top edge of the loudspeaker assembly and the midframe.
Disconnect and remove the loudspeaker assembly.
