This guide is for replacing the earpiece speaker on a Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra SM-G998B/DS model. Other models may have an additional antenna cable in the midframe edge.
Failing to replace adhesive seals during reassembly will compromise water protection, despite maintaining device functionality.
Unplug and power off your phone before starting.
Heat-sensitive components (display, internal battery) can be damaged by excessive heat.
Secure a suction handle to the bottom edge of the back cover, as close to the edge as possible.
If the back cover is badly cracked, apply clear packing tape over it for better suction or use strong tape instead. As a last resort, superglue the suction cup to the broken cover.
Insert an opening pick into the created gap.
Slide the opening pick towards the bottom left corner to slice the adhesive.
Leave the opening pick in place to prevent resealing of the adhesive.
Insert a second opening pick at the bottom edge.
Reapply heat for 2-3 minutes using the iOpener.
When slicing near the camera assembly, use only 4-5 mm of the opening pick tip.
Be cautious when slicing near the power button — risk of damaging the power and volume button flex cable.
Remove the back cover.
Any remaining adhesive chunks must be removed with a pair of tweezers or fingers.
Insert a opening pick under the NFC antenna and charging coil assembly's left bottom end.

Remove the NFC antenna and charging coil assembly using a Phillips screwdriver.
Remove the NFC antenna and charging coil assembly using a pair of tweezers or your fingers.

Disconnect the laser AF module cable using a spudger, prying the connector straight up from its socket.
Careful not to overheat the device.
Insert an opening pick under the laser AF module to release its attachment to the earpiece speaker assembly.
Remove the laser AF module using a pair of blunt tweezers.
