Apply iOpener to back cover for 3 minutes to loosen adhesive.

  • Use a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate as alternative, but be careful not to overheat the phone.

Secure a suction handle to the bottom edge of the back cover, as close to the edge as possible.

If the back cover is cracked, the suction handle may not stick — try lifting it with strong tape or superglue in place and allow it to cure before proceeding.

  • Lift the back cover with the suction handle to create a small gap between the back cover and frame.
  • Apply more heat if needed, following iOpener instructions to avoid overheating.

Insert an opening pick into the created gap.

  • Slide the opening pick to the bottom left corner to slice the adhesive.
  • Leave the opening pick in place to prevent the adhesive from resealing.

Step 3 | Slice the adhesive

If the adhesive hardens, it may be due to cooling down.

  • Reheat the iOpener for 2-3 minutes and apply.
(Note: Reheating will help maintain a workable temperature)

Insert a third opening pick at the bottom right corner of your phone.

  • Slide the opening pick along the right edge to cut the adhesive.
  • Leave the pick in the top right corner to prevent resealing.
