Galaxy S20 Camera Lens Replacement

DO NOT attempt to remove the lens from under the silver lip, as this can damage it.

  • Apply heat to the area around the lens using a blow dryer or heat gun until thoroughly warm.
  • The lens will loosen and be removable once heated sufficiently.

Step 1 | Break your glass....

Heating may damage adhesive; proceed with caution.

  • Choose a heat source: blow dryer or heat gun.
  • Apply gentle heat to loosen the lens adhesive.
  • For punctures, use tweezers to lift glass fragments.
  • Refer to next step's photo for accurate lens location.

Step 2 | Remove Glass

No adhesive residue on the silver plate where new adhesive will be applied.

  • Use alcohol wipes and tweezers to clean the area.
  • No glass fragments should remain inside the cameras.
  • Verify camera interior is clear with an alcohol wipe.

Step 3 | Test your camera

Power the device back on and test the camera to verify its functionality.

  • Check for any remaining debris in the lens opening.

Step 4 | Apply adhesive

Apply magnifying glass adhesive using the included tools.

Use a high-quality adhesive kit specifically designed for smartphone repairs, such as those found on Amazon or eBay.

  • Ensure the adhesive has a cutout to match your device's model (e.g. S20).
  • Alternatively, use your preferred mobile repair tape if an adhesive kit with a pre-cut lens is not available.

Step 5 | Apply new lens

Position the new lens over the adhesive, ensuring proper alignment courtesy of the silver retention ring.

  • Place the lens in the provided silver holder, which assists with accurate positioning.
