Apply strong, steady pressure only; avoid excessive force.

  • Attach a suction cup to the phone's bottom edge near its center.
  • Consider adding clear packing tape over cracked displays for better adhesion.
  • If necessary, use strong tape or superglue the suction cup to the broken glass.

Do not apply excessive force with the pick; risk of cracking back cover glass.

  • Pull on the suction cup with steady pressure to create a gap between the back cover and frame.
  • Insert an opening pick into the gap.
  • If initial attempts fail, repeat heating with the iOpener and separating with the suction cup.

Reheat the edge if you're having trouble creating a gap; excessive force is not recommended.

Remove the back cover by lifting it slowly and carefully.

  • Use opening picks to slice any remaining adhesive.
  • Separate and remove the back cover.

Power on your phone during reassembly, test all functions, and power it down completely before continuing.

  • Remove any leftover adhesive chunks with a pair of tweezers or your fingers.
  • If necessary, apply heat to aid in separating the adhesive.

For custom-cut adhesives, follow separate instructions.

When using double-sided tape, refer to a dedicated guide for proper application.
