This guide is for replacing the motherboard on a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G. Replacement back cover adhesive is required for reassembly.
Ensure the battery is drained to 25% or lower to prevent accidental puncture.
Careful not to insert the SIM eject tool into a microphone hole.
Extreme heat may warp the back cover; use with caution.
Apply a suction cup to the center of the back cover's bottom edge, as close to the edge as possible.
Insert the opening pick at the bottom edge and slide it up to cut the adhesive.
Extreme heat may cause warping - use with caution.
Apply a iOpener to the top edge of the back cover for two minutes.
Apply a heated iOpener to the left edge of the back cover for 2 minutes.
Insert the opening pick into the top left corner.
Remove the back cover.
If still attached, use an opening pick to carefully pry the edges and separate any remaining adhesive.
Power on your device and test all functions during reassembly.
Ensure it's powered down completely before continuing work.
Identify the wireless charging assembly, which consists of the motherboard cover, wireless charging coil, and loudspeaker. They are secured together with graphite tape.
Be careful not to damage the graphite tape.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the following screws:

During reassembly, press down firmly around the perimeter of the motherboard cover to avoid damaging the clips.
Slide the motherboard cover to the right or left to expose the battery and wireless charging connectors.
Do not press down in the middle of the connector.
If misaligned, pins can bend causing permanent damage.
Insert the point of a spudger between the bottom left corner of the loudspeaker and the frame.
Press down firmly around the perimeter during reassembly to engage the clips securely.
Remove the wireless charging assembly.
Use the flat end of a spudger to gently pry up the interconnect cable press connector from the motherboard.
Disconnect the three camera press connectors with the flat end of a spudger.
Repeat step 2 to disconnect the blue antenna cable from the bottom left corner of the motherboard.
During reassembly, ensure antenna cables are securely in their channels on the phone's edges.
Remove the motherboard screw with a Phillips screwdriver.
Double-check SIM tray removal.
Cables must be cleared during reassembly to prevent damage.
Lay motherboard in its recess and press down to secure.
Flip the motherboard over and lay it on a clean, soft cloth to prevent damage.
Careful handling is required when disconnecting the ultra-wide camera, as it may eject unexpectedly.
