The following instructions describe the process of removing and replacing the lower loudspeaker in a Samsung Galaxy S10e.
Opening your phone will compromise its waterproof seals; have replacement adhesive ready, or take care to avoid liquid exposure during reassembly.
When using alternative heat sources (hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate), exercise caution to prevent overheating damage to the OLED display or internal battery.
Identify the adhesive securing the back cover, as shown in the reference image.
Position the suction cup near the Bixby button on the thinnest part of the adhesive.
Avoid placing it on the curved edge, as this may compromise the seal.
Prop up the heated phone's edge on a 0.5 inch (13 mm) thick surface.
Apply significant force may be required; reapply heat as needed to soften adhesive.
Avoid overheating an iOpener or gel pack to prevent damage.
Be cautious: excessive force may break the rear glass, and metal tools should not be used for prying.
Use a spudger to pry along the phone's right edge, carefully slicing through the adhesive holding the back cover in place.
Insert an opening pick into the edge adjacent to the opening tool.
Leave the pick in place to prevent the separated adhesive from re-attaching.
Heat a iOpener and apply it to the top edge of the phone for 2 minutes.
Insert an opening pick near the top right corner of the phone.
Apply heat to the left edge of the phone with a iOpener for 2 minutes.
Insert a new opening pick near the top left corner.
Heat the iOpener and apply it to the bottom edge of the device for 2 minutes.
Insert the opening pick near a bottom corner of the phone.
The glued area is larger here; insert the pick further into the phone to fully separate it.
Stop prying if encountering resistance.
Turn on your phone and test the repair before reassembling.
Note: This method will not restore full waterproofing, but is suitable for most purposes.
Remove eight 3.9 mm Phillips screws securing the upper midframe to the phone.
Insert an opening pick into the bottom right corner of the upper midframe, sliding it down to release the adhesive bond with the lower midframe.
Insert the spudger into the small cutout on the right edge of the upper midframe, near the Bixby button.
Lift the midframe by the plastic section.
Do not press down too hard, as this may damage the assembly or phone frame.
Disconnect the battery connector by prying its socket with a flat spudger.
Remove the seven 3.9 mm screws using a Phillips driver.
Insert the point of a spudger into the notch on the right edge of the loudspeaker.
Pry up with the spudger to loosen the loudspeaker.
Remove the loudspeaker by lifting it upwards.
