Replace the Samsung Galaxy S10 screen by disassembling the device.
Unplug and power off your phone before starting.
Careful not to overheat-the display and internal battery may suffer from heat damage.
Place the phone at a 13 mm angle by resting its heated right edge on a surface.
Applying excessive force may crack the back cover glass.
Tight tolerances may require multiple attempts to create a gap. Ensure adequate heat is applied before proceeding.
Avoid excessive force when using the opening pick to prevent damage to the back cover glass.
Do not apply excessive force or cut the corner adhesives first — may damage the back cover.
Apply a heated iOpener to the bottom edge of the phone for two minutes.
If cutting feels difficult, re-apply heat to the edge before continuing.
Leave an opening pick in the seam to prevent adhesive from re-sealing.
Continue to heat and slice around the remaining edges.
Insert an opening pick into one edge and twist gently to separate the back cover from the frame.
Power on your phone, test all functions, and power it down before continuing.
Reassemble by following this guide: reattach the back cover, install camera bezel, and replace adhesive. If desired, reinstall without replacing adhesive, removing large chunks that prevent proper fit. After installation, heat the back cover, apply pressure to secure.
Remove 8 x 4mm Phillips head screws from the top midframe.
Locate and remove plastic clips along the midframe's edge.
Remove the midframe from the phone by lifting it from the top corners.
Insert the flat end of a spudger underneath the battery connector, attached to the motherboard below the rear-facing camera.
Remove the 7 x 4mm Phillips screws securing the lower midframe.
Locate the plastic clips holding the midframe in place.
Grasp the loosened midframe end with your fingers.
The loudspeaker is built into the lower midframe.
Use a spudger's flat edge to pry up the display connector and disconnect it from the motherboard socket.
Excessive heat can damage the internal battery.
This may be difficult depending on your device's age. If you have trouble, apply more heat and try again.
Use an opening pick to cut along the device's right edge.
Do not remove the pick — this can allow the adhesive to seal itself again.
Heat an iOpener and apply it to the bottom edge of the display for exactly 1 minute.
Insert an opening pick under the phone's bottom edge and carefully slide it to the side, slicing through any remaining adhesive.
Repeat the heating and slicing process for the remaining display sides.
Use a opening pick to gently pry open and cut through any remaining adhesive.
Thread the display panel connector through the frame.
If necessary, cutting the display panel cable may be required for removal.
Use caution when handling replacement screens with custom-cut adhesive — refer to the specific removal and attachment instructions in the provided guide.
When using Tesa tape, follow the reattachment instructions outlined in a separate guide.
