Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant Midframe Replacement
- Replace the midframe on a Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant for easier disassembly.
- Alternatively, remove the midframe entirely to access internal components.
Step 1 | Battery
Locate the small slit at the bottom edge, between the back and front cases.
- Pop the back case off by inserting your finger and pulling it away from the phone.
- If stuck, use the Plastic Opening Tools to gently pry the back case off.
Step 2
Push the bottom edge of the battery up and away from the phone.
- Alternatively, use a Plastic Opening Tool.
Step 3 | Midframe
Push SIM card ejector tool down and away from the slot to release the SIM card.
- Pull the SIM card out toward the bottom edge of the phone.
Step 4
Remove the seven 4.5mm Phillips #00 screws from around the phone's perimeter.
Step 5
Start near the power button and use a plastic opening tool to release the plastic clips holding the midframe.
- Work carefully, releasing all of the clips before proceeding.
- The power button and volume control buttons will fall out when the midframe is removed.
Step 6
Remove the SD card from its slot.
