Samsung Galaxy S III microSD Card Replacement
This is a microSD card replacement guide.
Step 1 | Rear Case
Use a plastic opening tool or your fingernail to insert into the notch between the rear case and the rest of the phone.
- Gently twist the tool to release the clips holding the rear case in place.
Avoid using excessive force, which can break the clips.
Step 2
- Insert the plastic opening tool at the top edge and twist gently.
- Repeat this process several times until the gap is wide enough.
Step 3
Continue moving the plastic opening tool around the top left corner's perimeter, gently prying upwards along the rear case.
Step 4
Use a plastic spudger to pry along the top right side of the rear case.
- Continue prying down the right side until the rear case is loose.
Step 5
Lift up and remove the rear case. If necessary, peel it away from any remaining clips on the bottom of the phone.
Step 6 | Battery
Use your finger to push the battery upwards.
- A small notch is located above the battery.
- Pry the battery up from this notch.
Step 7
Disconnect and remove the battery.
Step 8 | microSD Card
Push the microSD card further into its slot with your fingernail.
Hear a click to confirm proper seating.
- Release the card and it will pop out of its slot.
- For reassembly, repeat this process until the card clicks in place.
Step 9
- Slide the microSD card out using your thumb.
- Remove the microSD card from the phone.
