This repair guide is for replacing the headphone jack/speaker assembly.
For optimal results, use a plastic opening tool to avoid damaging clips. Otherwise, you can proceed with your fingers.
Insert the plastic opening tool into the top edge of the rear case, then twist it to widen the gap.
Move the plastic opening tool around the top left corner, prying up the rear case with gentle pressure.
Remove the rear case. If necessary, gently pry the case loose with a plastic tool.
Use your finger or a plastic opening tool to pry the battery up.
Disconnect and remove the battery.
Push the SIM card further into its slot with your fingernail until you hear a click.
Make sure the SIM card is fully seated for proper phone function, but do not force it if resistant.
Hold the phone with one hand and use your other hand to carefully slide the SIM card partially out of its slot.

Remove Ten 4.0 mm Phillips screws.
Grasp the left side of the midframe with your thumb and forefinger.
Lift the midframe away from the phone using a light touch.
Careful not to damage the motherboard when prying.
Insert a plastic opening tool outboard of the speaker portion.
Remove the headphone jack/speaker assembly from the Galaxy S III.
