Samsung Galaxy S Blaze Volume Rocker Replacement

Remove the back plate to access the battery.

  • Pull the back and front plates apart to expose the battery.

Remove the battery from the device.

Ensure the power is completely off to prevent any accidental discharge or injury.

  • Set the removed battery aside in a safe location.

Remove the four 4mm screws from each corner of the frame, using a Phillips Head Screwdriver size 00.

  • There will be a total of eight screws to remove.
  • All eight screws are identical in size and type.

Use the iFixit blue plastic opening tool to pry off the frame.

  • Work around the phone with the tool until the frame is removed.
  • You may need to apply a moderate amount of force to dislodge the frame.

  • Locate the volume rocker on the device.
  • Pull the prongs to the side to unhook them from the frame.
  • Remove the volume rocker once it is free.

Be careful not to break the prongs or damage the surrounding area.
