Samsung Galaxy S Blaze Volume Rocker Replacement

Step 1 | Volume Rocker
Remove the back plate to access the battery.
- Pull the back and front plates apart to expose the battery.
Step 2
Remove the battery from the device.
Ensure the power is completely off to prevent any accidental discharge or injury.
- Set the removed battery aside in a safe location.
Step 3
Remove the four 4mm screws from each corner of the frame, using a Phillips Head Screwdriver size 00.
- There will be a total of eight screws to remove.
- All eight screws are identical in size and type.
Step 4
Use the iFixit blue plastic opening tool to pry off the frame.
- Work around the phone with the tool until the frame is removed.
- You may need to apply a moderate amount of force to dislodge the frame.
Step 5
- Locate the volume rocker on the device.
- Pull the prongs to the side to unhook them from the frame.
- Remove the volume rocker once it is free.
Be careful not to break the prongs or damage the surrounding area.
