Samsung Galaxy Rush Motherboard Replacement

Replacing the motherboard takes approximately 30 minutes, making it a relatively quick process.

Step 1 | Rear Case

Locate the back cover and gently pry it off with your finger.

  • Pry from one corner first.
  • Continue prying along the edges until the cover is removed.

Disconnect and remove the battery.

Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the 6 screws securing the back panel.

Remove the back panel using a pry tool. Start at the edge near the screen for easier access.

Step 5 | Connectors

Use tweezers to carefully remove the upper left connector from the motherboard.

  • The second connector, situated above the camera on the top of the device, should come off easily.

Remove the tweezers and gently grasp the adhesive orange ribbons.

  • The two ribbons will remain attached to the motherboard.
  • Be cautious not to break them when removing from the phone's side.

Step 7

Remove the bottom screw using a Phillips-head screwdriver. It is located to the right of the charging port.

Hold the screen firmly in place and lift the motherboard straight up.

Step 9 | Motherboard

The motherboard and screen are now physically separate.

Step 10

  • Install the new motherboard in place of the old one.
  • Reassemble the unit as instructed in the original assembly procedure.
