Remove the back cover by prying it off from the rear of the device.

Disconnect and remove the battery.

Remove the six screws with a small Phillips-head screwdriver.

Locate the palmrest removal tool or similar persistent prying action device.

• Pry gently at the back panel's edge nearest to the display, working from that point outward.

Remove the tweezers and gently lift the upper left motherboard connector.

• The first connector is located near the camera.
• The second connector, situated at the top of the phone, should come off easily.

Remove the tweezers and gently pull out the two adhesive orange ribbons from the side of the phone.

• Caution: Do not damage the ribbons as they will remain attached to the motherboard.

Remove the bottom screw using a Phillips-head screwdriver.

• The screw is located to the right of the charging port.

Separate the motherboard from the screen by lifting it upwards.

Hold the motherboard with its circuit side facing away from you.

• Motherboard clips, located at the top, need to be released by popping them off.
• The two black clips should come loose easily.

Flip the motherboard over to expose the circuit side.

Remove the connecting tab from its position.

Use your thumbs to gently lift the front camera upwards.

A slight wobble (wiggle) may aid dislodging.
