If sounds from your phone appear grainy or distorted, it's likely time to replace the speaker assembly.
Locate the opening near the headphone jack and insert a fingernail or plastic tool.
Insert a plastic spudger into the lower left crevice on the back of the phone.
Remove the 7 x 4.0 mm screws using a Phillips head screwdriver.
Insert a spudger into position at the bottom left of the phone's back.
Use tweezers to grasp the vibrator piece firmly and pull it away from the top panel with sufficient force.
Locate the speaker at the top of the phone beneath the motherboard.
Careful not to damage cables when removing the speaker.
Pull the release strap gently until the speaker separates from the phone.
