Samsung Galaxy R Front Facing Camera Replacement

If you frequently take selfies or photos for social media, an operating front-facing camera is essential.

  • The front-facing camera is accessed via a clip attached to the motherboard.
  • To replace the camera, lightly pull on it to unlatch the clip.

Step 1 | Rear Case

  • Use a fingernail or plastic tool to pry the rear case.
  • Gently separate the rear case from the midframe.
  • Remove the rear case.

Step 2 | Battery

Locate the small crevice on the lower left side of the phone's back and insert your fingernail or a plastic tool.

  • Gently pry the battery away from the phone's casing.

Step 3 | Remove screws

Remove the four 4.0 mm red-marked screws using a Phillips head screwdriver.

  • Insert your finger or an opening tool underneath the midframe, and gently pry it apart from the phone.

Step 4 | Front Facing Camera

Locate the front-facing camera at the top right corner of the phone's back panel.

  • Gently pull the camera away from the motherboard until it detaches completely.
