Samsung Galaxy Prevail Rear Camera Lens Replacement
Replace camera lens fixing hardware to address issues like scratches or cracked lenses.
Step 1 | Rear Camera Lens
Pop the open slit, located near the headphone jack, outwards with your fingers.
Step 2
Use a fingernail or nylon spudger to lift the battery upwards from its recessed position at the bottom right corner.
Step 3
Use a Phillips #00 screwdriver to remove the six 4mm screws.
Step 4
Careful not to damage the camera lens or speaker assembly when removing the secondary rear panel.
- Unhinge the secondary rear panel using a black spudger, focusing on the recessed tabs on both sides.
- Pry the panel loose while being mindful of the adjacent headphone jack trim, which may come detached.
Step 5
Remove and replace the secondary rear panel, taking care not to damage the camera lens assembly.
- Disconnect the battery connector for safety.
- Use a plastic spudger to carefully pry off the secondary rear panel.
- Take note of the camera lens's position and mounting points for reinstallation.
