This repair guide is for replacing the wireless charging coil in a Samsung Galaxy Note9 device.
Power down your device completely before proceeding with disassembly.
Apply a suction handle to the back cover.
If the glass is badly cracked, cover it in packing tape for a surface that the suction cup can adhere to.
Use caution when cutting around the camera bezel and fingerprint sensor area.
Careful not to damage internal components near the fingerprint sensor or cameras.
Careful near the corner, glass is weak.
Place an opening pick in the upper-right corner.
Apply heat to the left side of the rear panel using a heat gun, hair dryer, or an iOpener for 3 minutes.
Careful handling around corners is crucial due to weakened glass.
Opening picks can fall out as separation progresses; this is normal.
Insert the opening pick into the upper-left corner of the rear panel.
Separate the right side of the rear cover.
Use the tip of a spudger to carefully lift the fingerprint sensor ribbon cable from its socket.
Remove the back cover.
Test your repair before applying new adhesive.
Remove the upper midframe by taking out the nine 4 mm screws using a Phillips screwdriver.
Use a spudger to gently lift the upper midframe out of the phone.
Be careful not to apply too much pressure, as the upper midframe snaps into and out of place.
Remove the wireless charging coil from the battery, starting at the left side.
The adhesive is weak and may require an opening pick to separate.
Apply even heat to avoid damage to the wireless charging coil and surrounding components.
Peel wireless charging coil from upper midframe along its edges.
Locate and carefully remove wireless charging coil from the upper midframe.
Align the midframe posts with the wireless charging coil holes.
