Samsung Galaxy Note8 Back Cover Replacement

Swollen batteries can be very dangerous — wear eye protection and exercise caution, or take it to a professional if unsure.

  • Do not heat a swollen battery.
  • If needed, inject isopropyl alcohol (90+%) around the edges of the back cover to loosen adhesive using a dropper or syringe.
  • Opening the phone will damage waterproof sealing.

If you do not replace adhesive seals, your phone will function normally but lose water-protection. Replacement adhesive may be needed for reattachment.
