Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra Loudspeaker Replacement

Discharge the battery to below 25% and avoid damaging it, as this may lead to a hazardous thermal event or an even more serious issue like a swollen battery.

  • Start by following this guide for loudspeaker removal or replacement on your Samsung Galaxy Note20 Ultra.

Step 1 | Heat the rear cover

Step 1 image

Power off your phone completely before disassembling.

  • Apply the iOpener to the left side of the rear cover for one minute.
  • Alternatively, use a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate, but avoid overheating and damaging the screen or internal battery.

Step 2 | Insert an opening pick

Apply a suction cup to the heated edge of the rear cover, as close to the edge as possible.

  • If the back glass is badly cracked, apply clear packing tape for better adhesion.
  • Pull up on the suction cup with strong, steady force to create a gap between the rear cover and frame.

Do not insert the opening pick more than 5 mm into the phone or you risk damaging internal components.

Step 3 | Begin to cut the adhesive

Insert an opening pick into the device near the top edge.

  • Slide the pick towards the bottom left corner, carefully cutting through the adhesive.

Avoid inserting the opening pick more than 5 mm into the phone to prevent internal component damage.

  • Heat and cut the adhesive on all three remaining sides of the rear cover, repeating as necessary.
  • Insert each new opening pick into the gaps created by previous picks in the corners.

Leave an opening pick in each corner to prevent re-sealing of the adhesive.

  • Use a pick to sweep around the entire perimeter, releasing any remaining adhesive.
  • If necessary, reheat stubborn areas and try again.
