Power down your phone completely.
Apply a suction cup to the heated edge of the rear cover, as close to the edge as possible.
Use strong, steady force to pull up on the suction cup and create a gap between the rear cover and frame.
Be cautious: depending on your phone's age, this may be difficult. If struggling, apply more heat and try again.
Insert an opening pick into the top right corner of the screen.
Insert opening pick no deeper than 5 mm into the phone to avoid damaging internal components.
Remove the rear cover by lifting it straight up.
Insert the pointed end of a spudger under the edge of the wireless charging coil press connector and carefully pry it up to disconnect.
Be cautious not to damage the socket or surrounding components.
Misaligned connectors can cause permanent damage to the pins.
Locate the white press connector at the bottom right corner of the motherboard shield.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the six 4.0 mm screws securing the motherboard shield.
Screws may be difficult to remove due to threadlocker on their threads.
Use a tweezers to lift up the motherboard shield.
Handle with care, as its edges can be sharp.
Grip the motherboard shield with your fingers.
Peel the wireless charging coil up and away from the device.
Note: The coil may be held by light adhesive, but should come off easily.
Use the pointed end of a spudger to pry up the battery press connector.
Insert the pointed end of a spudger into the laser AF sensor press connector and gently pry it upwards.
Remove the earpiece speaker by unscrewing the four 4.0 mm Phillips screws.
Insert the pointed end of a spudger into the hole marked by a small triangle on the right side of the earpiece speaker.
Remove the earpiece speaker
Use the pointed end of a spudger to carefully disconnect the front-facing camera cable from the motherboard.
Careful: The front-facing camera is glued to the frame.
Be careful not to damage any surrounding components.
Use tweezers to remove the front-facing camera.
If it doesn't lift out easily, reapply a few drops of isopropyl alcohol and wait for the adhesive to weaken.
Wipe off or air dry any remaining alcohol solution before installing the new camera.
