Apply a suction cup to the heated edge of the back panel, as close to the edge as possible.
If all else fails, using strong tape or superglue will cause permanent damage to your phone's glass.
Pull up on the suction cup with strong, steady force to create a gap between the back panel and the frame.
Depending on the age of your phone, this may be difficult; apply more heat if needed.
Slide the opening pick along the left edge towards the bottom left corner to slice the adhesive.
Do not insert the opening pick more than halfway into the phone — you risk damaging internal components.
Slide a second opening pick across the left side, towards the top left corner.
Make sure it remains stuck in this position to hold the adhesive open.
Apply a iOpener to the top edge of the phone for 1 minute.
Apply iOpener to the right edge of the phone for 1 minute.
Insert a fourth opening pick into the right side gap, sliding down towards the bottom right corner to slice adhesive.
The back panel may separate from the phone near the bottom edge.
Remove the back panel by lifting it upwards.
Remove the five 4 mm screws with a Phillips screwdriver.
Use tweezers to lift up and flip back the metal shield over the battery connector.
Hold the metal shield up and out of the way.
Careful not to damage the battery connector.
Use the pointed end of a spudger to disconnect the wireless charging coil connector from the motherboard.
Locate and tilt the metal shielding upwards.
