This guide will walk you through removing and replacing the vibration motor in your Samsung Galaxy Note 10.
Completely power off your phone before disassembly.
Be cautious when using a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate, as excessive heat can damage the display and internal battery.
Apply a suction cup to the heated edge of the back panel, as close to the edge as possible.
Be careful not to overheat the phone.
Insert the point of an opening pick into the gap created.
Slide the opening pick along the left edge towards the bottom left corner to slice the adhesive.
Do not insert more than halfway into the phone — risk of damaging internal components.
Leave the pick inserted in the bottom left corner to prevent re-sealing of the adhesive.
Apply iOpener to the top edge of the phone for 1 minute.
Insert a third opening pick into the top edge of the phone.
Apply iOpener to the right edge of the device for 1 minute.
Insert a fourth opening pick into the right side gap, sliding it down towards the bottom right corner.
Remove the back panel by lifting it upwards.
Remove the wireless charging coil's five 4mm screws using a Phillips screwdriver.
Use tweezers to carefully lift and flip back the metal shield over the battery connector.
Hold the metal shield away from the area.
Be careful not to touch any electrical components during disassembly.
Remove the five 4mm screws with a Phillips screwdriver.
Remove the loudspeaker using a pair of tweezers.
Use the pointed tip of a spudger to carefully pry loose the main interconnect cable from its socket on the daughterboard.
Be careful not to damage any components.
Disconnect and remove both interconnect cables.
Use a tweezers to lift the daughterboard and remove it.
Use the gap in the frame near the bottom right corner of the battery to access the vibration motor with one side of a pair of tweezers.
Be extremely careful when using tweezers near the battery as you can easily puncture it.
