Samsung Galaxy Note10 Rear Cover Replacement

This repair guide is for replacing the rear cover of a Samsung Galaxy Note10 device.

Step 1 | Heat the back panel

Step 1 image

Completely power off your phone before disassembly.

  • Prepare an iOpener and apply it to the left edge of the back panel for one minute.
  • Use a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate with caution: excessive heat may damage display or internal battery.

Step 2 | Insert an opening pick

Apply a suction cup to the heated edge of the back panel, as close to the edge as possible.

  • If the back glass is badly cracked, cover it with clear packing tape for better suction.
  • Alternatively, use strong tape instead of the suction cup or superglue if necessary.

If still having trouble, reapply heat and try again carefully, as excessive force may cause further damage.

  • Pull up on the suction cup with strong, steady force to create a gap between the back panel and frame.
  • Insert the point of an opening pick into the gap once the gap has been created.

Step 3 | Begin to slice the adhesive

Risk of damage to internal components if the opening pick is inserted too far.

  • Slide the opening pick along the left edge towards the bottom left corner to cut the adhesive.
  • Do not insert the opening pick more than halfway into the phone.
  • Leave the opening pick inserted at the bottom left corner to prevent re-adhesion.

Step 4 | Slice the left side adhesive

Insert a second opening pick and slide it along the left side, heading towards the top left corner to slice the adhesive.

Be careful not to remove the original pick as you insert the new one — risk of re-sealing the adhesive.

  • Leave both picks inserted in the top left corner to prevent re-sealing.

Step 5 | Slice the top side adhesive
