Make sure your phone is powered off.

  • Apply an iOpener to the left edge of the back panel for one minute.
  • Alternatively, use a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate, but be cautious not to overheat and damage components like the display or internal battery.

Apply a suction cup to the heated edge of the back panel, as close to the edge as possible.

  • If the back glass is badly cracked, cover it with clear packing tape for better suction or use strong tape instead of the suction cup.
  • (If necessary) Super glue the suction cup to the broken panel.

Be careful when using superglue.

  • Pull up on the suction cup with strong, steady force to create a gap between the back panel and frame.
  • Apply more heat if needed for older phones or if initial attempt is unsuccessful.

Insert the point of an opening pick into the gap created.

Step 3 | Begin to slice the adhesive
