Samsung Galaxy Note10 Plus 5G Wireless Charging Coil Replacement

This guide is intended to assist with replacing the wireless charging coil on a Samsung Galaxy Note10+ 5G.

  • Please note that steps written for the non-5G version of the device are used in this guide.
  • Some images may display minor inconsistencies, but these do not affect the overall repair process.

Step 1 | Heat the rear cover

Completely power off your phone.

  • Prepare an iOpener and apply it to the left edge of the rear cover for one minute.
  • iOpener, hair dryer, heat gun or hot plate may be used, but avoid overheating which can damage the display or internal battery.

Step 2 | Insert an opening pick

Apply a suction cup to the heated edge of the rear cover, as close to the edge as possible.

  • If the rear cover is badly cracked, apply clear packing tape over it before using the suction cup.
  • Alternatively, use very strong tape instead of a suction cup or superglue one to the broken cover if needed.

Pull up on the suction cup with strong, steady force to create a gap between the rear cover and the frame.

  • If the rear cover is not easily removable, apply more heat to the edge and try again.
  • Once a gap has been created, insert the point of an opening pick into it.

Step 3 | Begin to slice the adhesive

  • Do not insert more than halfway into phone —

  • Leave the pick in place to prevent adhesive re-sealing.

Step 4 | Slice around the perimeter of the phone

Continue heating and cutting for the remaining three sides.

  • Leave an opening pick on each side before moving on.
  • Prevent the adhesive from resealing by maintaining a pick on each side.

The rear cover will begin to separate as you finish all sides — be prepared for this.

Step 5 | Lift off the rear cover
