This guide is intended for removing or replacing the rear camera module on a Samsung Galaxy Note10+ 5G, but uses steps originally written for the non-5G model.
Some images may show minor discrepancies that do not impact the repair process.
Insert a SIM eject tool, bit, or a straightened paper clip into the small hole on the SIM card tray.
Completely power off your device before proceeding.
Apply a suction cup to the heated edge of the rear cover as close to the edge as possible.
Hold the suction cup with strong, steady force and pull up to create a gap between the rear cover and the frame.
This may be difficult depending on your phone's age; if you're having trouble, apply more heat to the edge and try again.
Slide the opening pick along the left edge towards the bottom left corner.
Do not insert the opening pick more than halfway into the phone, as this can damage internal components.
Continue with a second heating and cutting procedure for the remaining three sides.
Remove the rear cover by lifting it straight up.
Remove the wireless charging coil by first unscrewing its mounting with a Phillips screwdriver. You will need to remove five small (4mm) screws.
Hold the tweezers firmly and use them to gently lift the metal shield, flipping it back over the battery connector.
Hold the metal shield aside while using a spudger to pry up the battery connector.
Disconnect the wireless charging coil connector using the pointed end of a spudger.
Peel wireless charging coil up and away from the device, taking care not to damage the surrounding components.
Remove the loudspeaker by unscrewing the five 4 mm Phillips head screws.
Remove the loudspeaker using a pair of tweezers.
Disconnect and remove the main interconnect cable.
Do not attempt to remove the secondary interconnect cable, as it is connected to the side 5G mmWave antenna.
Remove the top plastic cover using a Phillips screwdriver.
Use tweezers to lift and remove the top plastic cover.
Remove the touch layer connector with the pointed end of a spudger.
Insert the pointed end of the spudger into the gap between the 5G mmWave antenna connector and the motherboard.
Insert the pointed end of a spudger and gently pry the S-Pen charging coil connector loose from the motherboard.
Insert the pointed end of a spudger into the display cable connector on the motherboard.
Prying up the motherboard without ejecting the SIM tray can cause damage.
Make sure the SIM tray is fully ejected before attempting to remove the motherboard to avoid damage or stripping of the SIM card slot.
Remove the middle camera connector cover with a pair of tweezers.
Locate and carefully pry loose the bottom camera connector using the pointed tip of a spudger.
Be gentle to avoid damaging the internal components.
Next, disconnect the middle camera connector.
Use the pointed end of a spudger to disconnect the top camera connector.
