Samsung Galaxy Note10 Plus 5G Loudspeaker Replacement

This guide is for removing or replacing the loudspeaker on your Samsung Galaxy Note10+ 5G. Note that the steps are based on a non-5G model, and any minor image discrepancies won't impact the repair process.

Step 1 | Heat the rear cover

Step 1 image

Power off your phone completely before disassembling it.

  • Prepare an iOpener and apply it to the left edge of the rear cover for one minute.

Be careful not to overheat the phone, as both the display and internal battery are susceptible to heat damage. Use a hair dryer, heat gun, or hot plate with caution.

Step 2 | Insert an opening pick

Use caution when handling superglue.

  • Apply a suction cup to the heated edge of the rear cover, as close to the edge as possible.
  • If the rear cover is badly cracked, cover it with clear packing tape for better adhesion.
  • Pull up on the suction cup with strong, steady force to create a gap between the rear cover and frame.

Be careful when applying additional heat as older phones may require more pressure.

  • Insert the point of an opening pick into the created gap.

Step 3 | Begin to slice the adhesive

Do not insert the opening pick more than halfway into the phone, as this risks damaging internal components.

  • Slide the opening pick along the left edge towards the bottom left corner to slice the adhesive.
  • Leave the pick inserted in the bottom left corner to prevent the adhesive from re-sealing.

Step 4 | Slice around the perimeter of the phone

Continue heating and cutting the remaining three sides of the phone.

  • Leave an opening pick on each side before moving to the next to prevent adhesive resealing.
  • Repeat for all sides until the rear cover starts to separate from the phone.

Step 5 | Lift off the rear cover

Remove the rear cover by lifting it straight up.

  • For reassembly instructions, refer to the installation guide for the rear cover and adhesive.
  • Before reassembling, power on your device and verify that all components function properly.

Do not proceed with reinstalling new adhesive or sealing until you have confirmed your repair is successful.
