This repair guide is for Samsung Galaxy Note10+ 5G with front-facing camera issues, based on steps from the non-5G model. Note that image discrepancies do not impact the instructions.
Power off your phone completely before starting disassembly.
Use an iOpener or alternative heating tool (hair dryer, heat gun, hot plate) to apply heat to the left edge of the rear cover for one minute.
Apply a suction cup to the heated edge of the rear cover as close to the edge as possible.
Superglue can be used as a last resort, but ensure proper removal is possible.
Do not insert the opening pick more than halfway into the phone — risk of damage.
Continue heating and cutting each remaining side of the phone.
Turn on your device and test the repair before installing new adhesive and resealing.
Remove the wireless charging coil's 5 4 mm screws using a Phillips screwdriver.
Use tweezers to carefully lift and flip back the metal shield covering the battery connector.
Hold the metal shield aside and use the pointed tip of a spudger to carefully pry the battery connector loose.
Disconnect the wireless charging coil connector using the pointed end of a spudger.
Risk of damage to the phone's internal components if not careful.
Remove the top plastic cover with a Phillips screwdriver.
Use tweezers to pivot the top plastic cover upwards and remove it.
Use the pointed end of a spudger to carefully lift the front-facing camera connector upwards, ensuring it is removed from the motherboard.
Remove the front-facing camera with a pair of tweezers.
