This guide is for removing or replacing the earpiece speaker on your Samsung Galaxy Note10+ 5G. To access the earpiece speaker, you'll need to remove the motherboard first.
Insert a SIM eject tool, ejector bit, or a straightened paper clip into the small hole on the SIM card tray located at the top edge of the phone.
Press firmly to avoid damaging the tray — risk of breakage.
Completely power off your phone before disassembly.
Apply a suction cup as close to the heated edge of the rear cover as possible.
If your rear cover is badly cracked, apply clear packing tape for better adhesion or use very strong tape instead.
Insert the point of an opening pick into the gap.
Insert an opening pick along the left edge towards the bottom left corner to cut the adhesive.
Apply the same heating and cutting process to the other three sides of the phone.
Continue until all sides are separated, allowing the rear cover to separate from the phone.
Lift the rear cover straight up to remove it.
Turn on your device and test your repair before installing new adhesive and resealing.
Remove the five 4mm Phillips head screws securing the wireless charging coil using a Phillips screwdriver.
Use tweezers to lift up and flip back the metal shield over the battery connector.
Hold the metal shield away from the area.
Disconnect the wireless charging coil connector using the pointed end of a spudger.
Peel the wireless charging coil upwards, releasing it from the device's adhesive.
Remove the loudspeaker with a Phillips screwdriver, unscrewing the five 4mm screws.
Remove the loudspeaker using a pair of tweezers.
Locate and carefully pry the main interconnect cable from its socket on the motherboard using the pointed end of a spudger.
Disconnect the main interconnect cable.
Do not attempt to remove the secondary interconnect cable, as it is securely attached to the side 5G mmWave antenna.
Remove the top plastic cover using a Phillips screwdriver.
Remove the top plastic cover with a pair of tweezers.
Careful not to damage the 5G mmWave antenna or its connector.
Disconnect the S-Pen charging coil connector from the motherboard using the pointed end of a spudger.
Disconnect the display cable from the motherboard using the pointed end of a spudger.
Insert the spudger's pointed end between the phone and the motherboard.
Gently pry up to create clearance for your fingers.
If the motherboard feels stuck, check that you have ejected the SIM tray.
Be careful when prying up the earpiece speaker.
Remove the earpiece speaker using a pair of tweezers.
Old adhesive can damage new components — ensure removal before replacing.
