This is a repair guide for replacing the USB board on a Samsung Galaxy Note II.
Grasp the stylus by its tip and pull it out of the midframe slot.
Use a plastic opening tool or your fingertip to pry into the small notch located just to the left of the rear-facing camera, above the power button.
Locate the corner with the small notch.
Press the microSD card slightly deeper with the flat end of a spudger or your fingernail, and you'll hear a click.
For reassembly, ensure proper seating by pressing the microSD card into place until you hear a second click.
Disconnect the battery from the midframe.
Remove the eleven 4.0 mm Phillips #00 screws that secure the midframe to the display assembly.
Insert plastic opening tool into the gap between midframe and front panel assembly, located on the side of the device.
Run the plastic opening tool along the entire seam.
Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry around the corner.
Use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry along the top edge of the phone.
Push plastic opening tool firmly downwards.
Remove power button clip on the right-hand side.
Lift the display assembly out of the midframe.
Remove the 3 mm Phillips #00 screw from the speaker enclosure.
Remove the speaker enclosure.
Disconnect the USB board cable connector using the flat end of a spudger.
Push the flat end of a spudger under the USB board to separate it.
Insert the spudger at a shallow angle to avoid damage to the USB board.
Remove the USB board from the display assembly.
