Replace the Galaxy Note II midframe.
Remove the stylus by grasping the end and pulling it out of its slot in the midframe.
Insert a plastic opening tool or your finger nail into the divot located to the left of the rear-facing camera and near the power button.
Use the corner nearest the divot to lift the rear case, then carefully remove it.
Press the microSD card slightly deeper with a spudger or fingernail until you hear a click.
Do not force it further, as this may damage the slot.
For reassembly, simply push the microSD card into its slot until you hear it click in place.
Insert a plastic opening tool or your finger into the battery compartment's notch.
Lift the battery upward gently.
Remove the battery from the midframe.
Remove the 11 Phillips #00 screws with a magnifying glass or screwdriver handle (4.0 mm diameter).
Position the plastic opening tool on the side of the phone, between the midframe and front panel assembly.
Run the plastic opening tool along the entire seam.
Avoid damaging the surrounding area — use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry around the corner.
Use a plastic opening tool to pry along the top of the phone.
Insert plastic opening tool and push down on a corner of the midframe to dislodge it from the display assembly.
Remove the power button clip using a flat tool or your fingernail.
Remove the display assembly from its position in the midframe.
