Samsung Galaxy Note II Midframe Replacement

Remove the stylus by grasping the end and pulling it out of its slot in the midframe.

Insert a plastic opening tool or your finger nail into the divot located to the left of the rear-facing camera and near the power button.

• Plastic opening tool
• Your fingernail (as last resort)

Use the corner nearest the divot to lift the rear case, then carefully remove it.

Press the microSD card slightly deeper with a spudger or fingernail until you hear a click.

Do not force it further, as this may damage the slot.

• Release and let the card pop out of its slot.
• Remove the microSD card completely.

For reassembly, simply push the microSD card into its slot until you hear it click in place.

Insert a plastic opening tool or your finger into the battery compartment's notch.

Lift the battery upward gently.

Remove the battery from the midframe.

Remove the 11 Phillips #00 screws with a magnifying glass or screwdriver handle (4.0 mm diameter).

Position the plastic opening tool on the side of the phone, between the midframe and front panel assembly.

• Insert the tool into the gap and slide it downwards along the seam.

Run the plastic opening tool along the entire seam.

Avoid damaging the surrounding area — use a plastic opening tool to carefully pry around the corner.

Use a plastic opening tool to pry along the top of the phone.

Insert plastic opening tool and push down on a corner of the midframe to dislodge it from the display assembly.

Remove the power button clip using a flat tool or your fingernail.

• Release the two clips on the top edge of the battery compartment with a spludger.
• Similarly, remove the two clips on the bottom edge of the battery compartment.

Remove the display assembly from its position in the midframe.
