This guide will walk you through replacing or removing the front-facing camera on your Samsung Galaxy Note II.
Grasp the stylus by its tip and pull it out of the midframe slot.
Use a plastic opening tool or your fingertip to pry into the small indentation beside the power button.
Lift the rear case by the corner nearest the divot and carefully remove it from the phone.
Press the microSD card slightly deeper with a spudger or fingernail until you hear a click.
Push the card back into the slot firmly to ensure it clicks securely in place during reassembly.
Insert a plastic opening tool or your index finger into the notch on the battery compartment.
Remove battery from midframe.
Run the plastic opening tool along the entire length of the seam.
Be cautious when prying near corners — risk of damage.
Use a plastic opening tool to pry along the top edge of the phone.
Insert the plastic opening tool and push it down carefully.
Remove the display assembly from the midframe.
Remove the 3mm Phillips #00 screw from the front-facing camera bracket.
Disconnect and remove the front-facing camera bracket.
Disconnect the front-facing camera connector using the flat end of a spudger.
Remove the front-facing camera.
