Samsung Galaxy Note Edge Volume Button Replacement

Failing to adjust the volume can indicate a faulty volume switch. Replace it using this guide.

Place device flat on a clean surface.

  • Remove the back cover with a Spudger, inserting into the notch at the top left.

  • Remove the battery by inserting a Spudger into the notch beneath it.
  • No battery was available during guide development; refer to manufacturer's documentation for proper removal procedures if needed.

Remove the stylus from its protective case.

Remove fifteen 4mm screws with a Philips #000 Screwdriver.

Remove the black chassis using a Spudger.

  • Expose the motherboard

Disconnect the connection 1, connection 2, and connection 3 using a spudger.

Disconnect the front camera wire.

  • Locate the front camera wire and gently pry it loose from its connector.
  • Once disconnected, set aside the wire and proceed with the repair.

  • Leave the motherboard in place until the final step.
  • Use a Spudger to gently lift it.
  • Disconnect the daughter board connection.
  • Remove the motherboard.

  • Remove the volume button panel.
  • Disconnect and remove the volume button connection.
  • Delete the entire volume button assembly.
