Insert a SIM Ejector Tool into the small hole on the left side of the top edge.

Ensure the tool is fully seated to avoid damaging the tray.

• Press down until the SIM Card Tray begins to protrude out.

Remove the SIM Card Tray from its slot.

Apply heat to the back of the device using a heat gun for 2 minutes.

Ensure the device is warm to the touch.

• Place a suction cup near the bottom of the back, on the flat glass section.
• Pull upwards gently on the suction cup to separate the rear glass from the body.
• Insert a pick under the rear glass while continuing to pull upwards.

Move the pick under the rear glass and along the bottom edge of the device.

• The pick should remain under the rear glass while moving it.
• Continue this motion to cut the adhesive.

Continue to heat and cut the remaining sides of the phone, using a pick to hold back the adhesive between each side.

• Repeat heating process on opposite side.
• Use a pick to hold back adhesive before cutting next side.
• Repeat for final remaining side, holding back adhesive as needed.

Remove the rear glass from the device by lifting it gently.

Remove the S-Pen from the bottom of the device.

Use a Phillips #1 Screwdriver to remove twenty 5mm screws.

Hold the device firmly with one hand and locate the white release button. Press down on it with your thumb to release the middle housing.

Loosen the signal cable connectors by gently twisting them counterclockwise.

Use tweezers to gently lift the exposed tab of each flex.

• Disconnect the battery flex.
• Disconnect the earpiece flex.

Disconnect and remove the teal navigation button flex.

Disconnect all flex cables.

• Lift the motherboard up from the top end.
• If stuck, remove any remaining flex cables.

Careful: Do not puncture the battery.

• Slowly pry off the battery with tweezers from the bottom.
• Start at the bottom to avoid accidental penetration.

Apply heat gun to the display for exactly two minutes.

• Wait until the display is warm to the touch.
• Insert a pick between the LCD and LCD shield on the bottom edge.
• Slide the pick across the bottom to break the adhesive.

Verify that the display has been completely detached from the device.
